Ill Never Forget
I’LL NEVER FORGET
I’ll never forget who made my existence harder when I was barely surviving.
When I was drowning, you didn’t have to save me. But you didn’t have to keep pushing my head under the water.
**“They also compassed me about with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.” — Psalm 109:3 (KJV)**
I remember who showed up. I remember who stayed silent. And I especially remember the ones who saw me struggling and somehow decided I needed more weight on my shoulders.
I survived it anyway.
**“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.” — Psalm 34:19 (KJV)**
But survival has a funny way of changing you. I don’t hate anyone. I just know exactly who will never have access to me the same way again.
And that is not hatred. That is wisdom.
**“The prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.” — Proverbs 22:3 (KJV)**
I can forgive without pretending it never happened. I can release bitterness without restoring the same access. I can wish you no harm without inviting you back into places where you once caused harm.
**“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” — Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)**
I remember what happened—not so I can live in the past, but so I do not willingly return to what God brought me through.
**“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing.” — Isaiah 43:18–19 (KJV)**
I survived it anyway.
And by the grace of God, I am still standing.
**“Having done all, to stand. Stand therefore.” — Ephesians 6:13–14 (KJV)**
