A Warning to Bands Who Pledge Allegiance to Satan

A Warning to Bands Who Pledge Allegiance to Satan

To those who openly pledge your allegiance to Satan:

This is not a threat. It is a warning.

You may wear the symbols. You may write the lyrics. You may build an entire image around darkness, rebellion, death, and Satan. You may mock Christ and laugh at Christians. You may convince yourselves that Satan represents freedom while Christianity represents bondage.

But understand this: you are playing with something you do not control.

The devil does not love you.

Satan is not your liberator, your friend, your muse, or your champion. Scripture calls him “the father of lies” (John 8:44), “the god of this world” who blinds minds (2 Corinthians 4:4), and the one who “walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

He does not want your worship because he cares about you.

He wants your worship because rebellion against God is his nature.

You can make an entire career out of glorifying darkness, but eventually the stage lights go out. The crowd goes home. The amplification stops. The costumes come off.

And you will still have to stand before God.

Hebrews 9:27 says, “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

You cannot turn judgment into a concert.

You cannot drown eternity out with distorted guitars.

You cannot hide behind a stage persona.

You cannot negotiate with death.

And you cannot save yourself.

Perhaps you believe Christianity is weak. Perhaps you think Christ is merely another religious figure. Perhaps you have spent years deliberately opposing Him.

Then hear this plainly:

Jesus Christ is not threatened by your rebellion.

The One you mock is the One before whom every knee will ultimately bow.

Philippians 2:10–11 declares that “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow” and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

That includes the Christian.

That includes the atheist.

That includes the occultist.

That includes the Satanist.

That includes the person standing beneath the stage lights proclaiming allegiance to Satan.

Your music cannot change that reality.

Your anger cannot change it.

Your denial cannot change it.

Your followers cannot change it.

But here is the part you need to hear most:

You are not beyond the reach of God's mercy while you are still alive.

The Christian message is not merely, “You are condemned.”

It is, “Repent and believe the gospel.”

Jesus Christ came to save sinners.

He died for sinners.

He rose from the dead.

And He calls sinners—including those who have rebelled against Him—to turn from their sin and come to Him.

Acts 17:30 says that God “commandeth all men every where to repent.”

So I am not writing this because I hate you.

I am writing because eternity is real.

Turn away from Satan.

Renounce your allegiance to him.

Repent of your sin.

Call upon Jesus Christ while you still have breath.

You may think you are using darkness for your art.

Be absolutely certain that darkness is not using you.

The devil has nothing eternal to offer you.

Christ does.

And when your final song is finished, the only question that will ultimately matter is not how dark your music was, how many people attended your shows, or how loudly you proclaimed your rebellion.

It will be:

What did you do with Jesus Christ?

Choose carefully.

You have been warned.

“Choose you this day whom ye will serve.” — Joshua 24:15
