A Warning to All Who Oppose Christ

A Warning to All Who Oppose Christ

To everyone who rejects, mocks, despises, or openly opposes Jesus Christ:

This is not a threat.

It is a warning—and, more importantly, an appeal.

You may reject Christianity. You may mock the Bible, ridicule believers, curse the name of Jesus, or proudly declare that you want nothing to do with Him.

You have the freedom to make that choice.

But freedom does not make every choice consequence-free.

You may spend your entire life convincing yourself that Christ is irrelevant, that Scripture is nothing more than an ancient book, or that there is no God to whom you will ultimately answer.

But if the claims of Christ are true, eternity is not something you can simply dismiss.

Hebrews 9:27 says, “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

One day the arguments will end.

The mocking will end.

The applause will end.

The careers will end.

The money will end.

The earthly identities we build for ourselves will end.

And every person will stand before God.

Scripture does not present Satan as the champion of freedom or rebellion. It calls him “the father of lies” (John 8:44) and warns that he seeks to destroy.

Satan does not love you.

He does not want your eternal good.

And if you believe you can oppose God without consequence, Scripture gives you a very different picture.

But hear this clearly:

God's warning is not God's hatred.

The reason Christians call people to repentance is not because Christians are better than everyone else.

We are sinners who need grace too.

The gospel declares that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.

He willingly went to the cross.

He bore the punishment deserved by sinners.

He died.

He was buried.

And He rose again.

That means your past does not have to be the end of your story.

You may have mocked Christ yesterday.

You may have hated Christianity for years.

You may have lived in deliberate rebellion against God.

You may have said things about Jesus that you now regret.

Repentance is still possible while you are alive.

Acts 17:30 says:

“God…commandeth all men every where to repent.”

That command includes you.

Do not mistake God's patience for God's approval.

Romans 2:4 asks whether you understand that God's goodness is intended to lead you to repentance.

The Christian message is not simply, “You are condemned.”

It is:

“Repent. Believe the gospel. Come to Christ.”

Jesus said:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

You do not have to clean yourself up before coming to Christ.

You come because you need Him.

You do not have to become worthy of His mercy.

You come because you are not worthy—and neither am I.

The cross is where God's justice and mercy meet.

So if you oppose Christ, I ask you to consider something you may have never seriously considered:

What if He really is who He claimed to be?

What if the resurrection is true?

What if Scripture really is God's Word?

What if eternity really is ahead?

What if the greatest mistake of your life is spending your entire life rejecting the One who came to save you?

You have one life.

You do not know how long you have.

Do not wait until death forces you to confront questions you refused to consider while you were alive.

Turn to Christ now.

Lay down your rebellion.

Repent.

Believe.

And discover that the Jesus you may have spent your life opposing is not merely a judge you should fear—but the Savior you desperately need.

“Choose you this day whom ye will serve.” — Joshua 24:15

The choice is before you.

Choose Christ while you still have the opportunity.
