 Beloved, listen carefully, because tonight is not about comfort. It’s about reality. It’s about eternity. Hell is not a story. It is not a myth. It is not something made up to scare people into religion. It is real. It is eternal. And Jesus talked more about it than anyone else in Scripture. Why? Because he knew the terrifying truth—most people are going there. Yes, even those who go to church. Even those who call themselves Christian. Even those who raised their hands at a youth camp or made a decision years ago. Not everyone who says, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus said that. Not me. Not a preacher. Not a denomination. Jesus.

If you are living casually, coasting through life thinking you’ll figure it out later… that one day might be too late. Hell is not reserved for those who “mess up.” It is for those who refuse to repent. It is for those who ignore every warning. And God, in His mercy, is warning you tonight.

This message is not to judge—it is to jolt. The most dangerous person is not the atheist, the witch, the murderer. It is the one who thinks they are safe but isn’t. Number One: You Live in Sin—and Feel No Conviction

Let’s cut straight to it. If you live in sin, keep doing what God says is wrong, and feel nothing… you are in eternal danger. Hebrews 10:26-27 warns us: “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire.”

It’s not just the sin itself—it’s the silence in your soul. That numbness, that indifference, is a sign your heart has hardened. You may have used to weep when you fell. You may have used to tremble at sin. But now? You excuse it. You justify it. You say, “God understands.”

Grace is not permission to sin. It is power to walk away from sin. If your conscience no longer convicts, your spirit is dying. A real believer wages war against sin, not peace. John 14:15 says, “If you love me, keep my commandments.” Are you keeping them—or keeping your sin? Salvation is not a moment. It is a Master. Are you a servant, or a pretender? Obedience proves your faith. Without it, all your religious acts are empty.

Number Three: You Bear No Spiritual Fruit

What has changed in your life since you met Jesus? Matthew 7:19 says, “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”

Fruit is love, purity, holiness, patience, kindness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). It is not wealth, influence, or comfort. Fruitless faith is false faith. You may have an emotional experience, but no spiritual transformation. Are your words and actions producing holiness—or are they producing the world?

If you see no evidence of repentance, no hunger for God, no desire to obey, no change—then you may not be saved at all. Fruit proves root. No root, no fruit. No fruit, no heaven.

Number Four: You Love the World More Than You Love God

John 2:15-17 warns: “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in them.”

Loving the world is not just about doing bad things. It is craving comfort over calling, pleasure over purity, approval over obedience. Social media, fashion, sports, popularity, materialism—if your heart is glued to these, your soul is at risk. You cannot serve two masters. One will win. Which one is winning in your heart?

Hell is full of people who loved the world more than God. They went to church. They sang songs. They even prayed—but their hearts belonged to the fleeting, temporary, fading things. Eternity is forever. Do not trade it for a vapor.

Number Five: You Hate Correction and Avoid Repentance

A heart that refuses correction is a heart headed for destruction. Proverbs 15:10 says, “Stern discipline awaits anyone who leaves the path. The one who hates correction will die.”

If you shut down conviction, ignore rebuke, and refuse to repent, your heart hardens until hell doesn’t seem so bad anymore. Real repentance is not just saying sorry—it is turning, changing, letting go of pride, choosing obedience.

Number Six: You Follow a False Gospel or False Teacher

A false gospel sounds comfortable, smooth, charismatic. It tells you, “You are basically fine. God just wants you happy.” It crowns your comfort and excuses sin. It minimizes judgment. It replaces conviction with affirmation.

Ask yourself: Does the teaching I follow call me to the cross, repentance, holiness, and radical surrender? Or does it affirm my sin, my comfort, my dreams? The gospel that saves offends the flesh. A false gospel comforts it—and leads to hell.

Number Seven: You Never Truly Surrendered to Christ

Jesus calls for ownership, not moments. Luke 9:23 says, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

Surrender is not cosmetic. It is death to self. It is handing over your dreams, your ambitions, your will, and your life. Many live divided lives—Sunday morning Christian, Monday morning worldling. They call Jesus Lord, but live as if he is optional.

True surrender is visible. It produces obedience, peace, humility, and hunger for God. Without it, a profession of faith is empty. If you have not surrendered everything, fall on your knees today. Give him all. Obey. Follow. Transform.

Number Eight: You’re Spiritually Dead—but Think You’re Alive

Revelation 3:1 warns: “I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.”

Spiritual death does not always look rebellious. Sometimes it looks religious. Routine. Appearance. Motion without intimacy. Hands lifted in church, but hearts cold in private. Scripture posted, but never obeyed.

Dead hearts do not repent. Dead souls do not hunger. And hell is full of those who thought they were alive but were dry bones. You may fool yourself, friends, even your pastor—but you cannot fool God.
